Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has expressed gratitude to God and the people of the state as he marks another year.
Okpebholo, in a birthday message, thanked God for the gift of life, His grace and the opportunity to serve the people of Edo State.
The governor also appreciated Edo residents for their trust, prayers, support and goodwill, saying he does not take the privilege of serving the state for granted.
According to him, serving Edo State is both an honour and a responsibility that he holds close to his heart.
He said leadership should not be measured by the office an individual occupies, but by “the lives one touches, the opportunities one creates and the future one helps to build.”
Okpebholo reaffirmed his commitment to the development, progress and prosperity of Edo State, promising to continue working towards building a state where residents can live with dignity and young people can pursue their aspirations.
He also highlighted his vision of an Edo where farmers can thrive, businesses can prosper and communities across the state have renewed hope for a better future.
The governor thanked the people of Edo State for giving him the opportunity to serve and prayed for continued blessings upon the state and its people.
