After the thunderous flag-off of the statewide campaign in Oleh last Thursday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign train moves to a destination that holds special meaning in the socio-economic and political life of the nation, Warri South West.
On Tuesday, 10th November 2026, it will be another homecoming for the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria and Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor.
For Guwor, Warri South West is not just a constituency. It is home. It is the land that raised him, trusted him, and sent him to Asaba to speak for them. And on Tuesday, that land will rise to receive its son, not just as the representative in the State Legislature or as a Speaker, but as a leader in the nation’s political arena.
This homecoming is different. It comes at a time when the young Legislator’s star has risen beyond Delta. As Chairman of the Conference of Speakers, he now represents and speaks for all 36 State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria. He has become a bridge between the states and the centre, a voice of stability, and a symbol of purposeful legislative leadership.
This particular homecoming is so historic as it is exactly nine months after he assumed office as Chairman, Conference of Speakers. Nine months, yes, nine months in the life of a marriage means so much to a family. It is the season of expectation. It is the season of delivery.
He was elected on 9th February and next day, 10th February 2026, he resumed work at the Secretariat of the legislative house in Abuja. Nine months after, Guwor is joyfully coming back home, not empty-handed, but with a bouncing baby of achievements to show his people.
Yet, despite the national honour, Guwor has never forgotten home. He remains rooted in Warri South West. Accessible, present, and committed to the development of his constituency. And Warri South West has every reason to celebrate him.
The Local Government Area has been blessed with an additional State Constituency, now boasting two Assembly seats. It is also the home of the Member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. This is not by accident. It is the reward of effective representation, of a Speaker who knows how to attract relevance and development to his people.
Warri South West is also the land of strong political gladiators. It is the home of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, the die-hard advocate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second tenure. He is the sole founder of “PBAT Door-To-Door Movement”, a political pressure group that has promoted nationwide campaign for a landslide victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of the APC. Several other staunch APC faithfuls and supporters whose loyalty to the party is total and unshaken, also hail from the local government area.
On Tuesday, these forces will converge, including the Speaker, other candidates, leaders, the women, the youths, and the grassroots to welcome His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the campaign train.
The collective message is clear and loud: “Massive victory for APC from top to bottom”. From the Presidency, to the Governor, to the Senate, to the House of Representatives, to the two House of Assembly seats, Warri South West is ready to deliver.
Guwor’s record of integrity and performance is impressive and has added so much value to the confidence of the people. Under his leadership, the Delta State House of Assembly has become a model of peace, stability and people-oriented lawmaking. Bills and resolutions that touch lives, oversight that works, and a Legislature that partners with the Executive for development. That is a legacy that will outlive generations of people.
The confidence is also built on unity. In Warri South West, the APC is one family. No faction. No division. The structures are intact, the leaders are united, and the people are mobilized.
Above all, the confidence is also built on loyalty to President Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. In Warri South West, the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda is not a slogan. It is peace in the creeks, inclusion in governance, and hope restored. The people have seen a President and a Governor who keep promises, and they are prepared to repay them respectively with total support for a second tenure.
Tuesday will therefore be more than a rally. It will be a celebration of a son who has made his people proud. It will be a reaffirmation of trust. It will be a show of strength that will echo across Delta State and Nigeria at large.
Oleh set the tone. Warri South West will raise the bar. Because when Guwor comes home, Warri South West does not just welcome him, it stands still for him. The train is moving. The homecoming is here. The victory is certain.
