Political tensions rise over President Tinubu’s economic reforms, with critics citing hardship, subsidy removal, and rising taxes, while supporters defend them as necessary.

“The likes of Atiku Abubakar, El Rufai, Dino Malaye, David Mark and others won’t like the reform because it will be difficult for them to have the country in their pockets again”.

“And if I may ask what other reform decisions has the Atiku Abubakar and El-Rufai proffer as alternative to Tinubu reforms than their usual personal hatred”.

“The economic reformation is in the right direction”.

Other opinions on the economic reforms is however in the opposite.

“The problem with Tinubu’s “reforms” is that they are one-sided: he’s trying to correct structural imbalances in the economy at a great cost to the masses but with immense benefits to the upper political and business classes. The hardship — or benefits — is not evenly spread, not even with the new tax regime. The voters will show their displeasure in 2027, exposing the hollowness of the technocrats’ claim that the reforms are for good”.
