All is now set for the burial of Mrs Grace Sarah Ikeke Omoaregba, mother-in-law of Mr Nkem Nwaeke, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, with funeral activities scheduled for Thursday, October 29, and Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Mrs Omoaregba, a respected community leader and virtuous woman from Ovbiomu-Emai in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State, died at the age of 84.
According to the funeral arrangements released by the family, the deceased will be laid to rest in her hometown, Ovbiomu-Emai, on Thursday, October 29, 2026, following a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ovbiomu. Interment will take place thereafter.
The family has also announced that a reception for guests will hold on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Military Hospital Compound, opposite Benin Airport, Airport Road, Benin City, Edo State.
Friends, associates, well-wishers and members of the public have been invited to join the family in honouring the memory of the deceased and bidding farewell to a beloved mother, grandmother and community figure.
Mrs Omoaregba is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, in-laws and other relatives, including Mr Nkem Nwaeke.
The family appreciates the support, prayers and solidarity of all those who will join them to celebrate the life and legacy of the departed matriarch.
