The Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. (Chief) Blessing Agbebaku, has congratulated the Akhikha of Avbiosi, Chief Friday Obazu , the Odibiado of Sobe, HRH Anthony Ero Aleburu and Chiefs in Council on the celebration of Avbiosi and Sobe Day Celebrations.
Speaking at Avbiosi, the Speaker congratulated the community for this year’s celebration.
While highlighting the role of the ceremony, the Assembly Boss noted that, it helps to organize and foster team work and community engagement, which ultimately lead to development of the community.
At Sobe, the Speaker said the event helps to promote community engagement, creativity and bonding of the people.
The Speaker assured the people of both communities of continuous support of the Governor Monday Okpebholo-led administration.
He expressed gratitude to eminient sons and daughters of the communities for promoting the course of peace and development.
On the entourage of the Speaker were Hon. Gani Akokhia, member representing Etsako West II, Hon. ODK Iruobe, the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Owan West Council Chairman, Hon. Mrs Joy Ohonyo, Hon. Atafo Ifidon, PA to Mr. Speaker, Prince Don Imonkhai, Chief Protocol Officer to the Office of the Chief of Staff and a host of SSAs, SAs to Speaker, Councillors, Council Appointees, Senior staff of the Council and friends converged to celebrate this year’s Avbiosi, Sobe Day.
Rt.Hon. Chief Agbebaku also used the opportunity to express the gratitude of the Edo state Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo to the people of Avbiosi and Sobe , stressing that he holds the people in high esteem.
