A distressing situation has emerged in Lagos after a woman believed to be suffering from memory loss was reportedly found stranded at Iyana Era along the Lagos–Badagry Expressway.
According to a statement shared on Facebook by Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan, the unidentified woman appears to be experiencing severe stress-induced mental health challenges, raising urgent concerns about her safety and well-being.
Describing the incident as “heartbreaking,” the senator called on the Lagos State Government, relevant emergency and social welfare agencies, as well as members of the public, to intervene swiftly to ensure the woman receives appropriate medical attention and care.
Akpoti Uduaghan also emphasized the need to safeguard the woman’s children, noting that their protection and proximity to their mother in a secure environment should be a priority while assistance is being arranged.
“I am available to support in any way I can,” she added, expressing hope for a coordinated response to the situation.
As of the time of reporting, it remains unclear whether authorities have identified the woman or located her family. Concerned citizens are urged to report any useful information to the appropriate agencies to aid in reuniting her with loved ones.
