Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated Chief Solomon Val Arenyeka on his emergence as Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside members of the newly constituted State Working Committee, following the successful conduct of the party’s State Congress.

In a statement issued on March 3, 2026, Senator Dafinone described the orderly, peaceful and transparent process that produced the new leadership as a strong affirmation of the APC’s democratic credentials and the growing unity within its ranks in Delta State.

He said the emergence of Arenyeka and the State Working Committee represents a clear vote of confidence by party faithful and a solemn mandate to provide purposeful, courageous and unifying leadership at a critical moment in the party’s political journey.

“Our members look to you to consolidate internal democracy, strengthen party structures across the 25 local government areas, and entrench a culture of discipline, accountability and collective responsibility that will inspire confidence among the electorate,” Dafinone stated.

The senator emphasized that as the party prepares for crucial political engagements ahead, unity must remain its uncompromising watchword. He urged the new leadership to foster reconciliation where necessary, harmonise diverse interests, and build a formidable grassroots-driven platform capable of positioning the APC as a credible and dominant alternative in Delta State.

According to him, the task ahead requires strategic mobilisation, effective communication, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of progressive governance.

Dafinone reaffirmed his readiness to work closely with Arenyeka and the State Working Committee in advancing the vision of the party and delivering sustainable development and inclusive prosperity to the people of Delta State.

The statement was signed by Senator Ede Dafinone, Delta Central Senatorial District.
