Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, has congratulated the newly elected leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State Chapter, following the successful conclusion of the party’s state congress.

In a statement, Akpowowo commended the Chief Solomon Areyenka-led 36-member State Executive Committee, describing their emergence as a clear demonstration of the confidence and trust reposed in them by party faithful across the state.

According to the Deputy Speaker, the outcome of the congress reflects the collective resolve of party members to strengthen internal democracy and reposition the APC for greater effectiveness and service to the people of Delta State.

He urged the new executive members to embrace unity, inclusiveness, and purposeful leadership as they take on the responsibility of steering the party’s affairs.

“The task ahead requires collective resolve, strategic engagement, and unwavering dedication to the ideals of good governance, accountability, and development,” Akpowowo stated.

The lawmaker noted that Delta State is at a critical stage in its political evolution, emphasizing that the role of a vibrant, disciplined, and visionary party structure cannot be overstated.

He expressed confidence that under Chief Solomon Areyenka’s leadership, the APC would consolidate on its achievements, broaden its support base, and present credible alternatives capable of deepening democracy and advancing the welfare of the people.

Akpowowo further extended his best wishes to the new leadership on behalf of his family, constituents, supporters, and associates, expressing hope that their tenure would usher in renewed strength, stability, and progress for the APC in Delta State.
