The Hon. Hilary Ibegbulem Support Group has dismissed reports circulating on social media and some online platforms alleging that former Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, made certain political statements regarding the Delta North Senatorial District race.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the group described the publication as inaccurate, misleading, and politically motivated, alleging that the report originated from media elements linked to Senator Okowa Ifeanyi’s political opponents.
According to the group, Senator Okowa did not make the statements being attributed to him, stressing that political actors and supporters should avoid spreading unverified information capable of creating unnecessary tension within the political space.
The group further called for responsible and issue-based political engagement as conversations around the Delta North Senatorial District primaries continue to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 political season.
Political observers note that the Delta North Senatorial District remains one of the most strategic political zones in Delta State, with increasing consultations, alignments, and grassroots mobilization already taking shape among interested stakeholders and aspirants across party lines.
The support group reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful democratic participation and urged supporters to remain focused on constructive engagement, unity, and the overall development of Delta North.
It also appealed to the public to verify information from credible and official sources before sharing politically sensitive reports online.
