Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, on Saturday voted at Gbaramatu Ward 4 in Warri South-West Local Government Area during the All Progressives Congress direct primary for the 2027 presidential ticket.

Rt Hon Guwor joined other APC leaders and party faithful in a long queue as officials conducted the exercise in line with the party’s guidelines.

Speaking after casting his vote, Guwor who is the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, described the process as peaceful and reflective of the party’s commitment to internal democracy.

“The turnout of party members shows strong grassroots engagement. What we have seen today is democracy in action. With all registered APC members voting in their wards, the process gives every member a voice in deciding the party’s flagbearer,” Guwor said.

The Speaker commended the Presidential Primary Election Planning Committee and the State Working Committee of the party for organizing an orderly exercise across the state, adding that “the party has demonstrated capacity to conduct a nationwide direct primary”.

Guwor noted that Delta APC remains committed to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the sole aspirant in the contest, and working with him to strengthen the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
