Following incessant complaints by the general public and embarrassment on the shabby dressing of some of the states civil servants, the Delta State government has taken the bull by the horns and reviewed the dress code.
This according to the Head of Service is among others to inculcate discipline into the system.
The circular to the effects which was made public to all service department and ministries reads:
“The Head of Service has reviewed the dress code for public servants to strengthen discipline and professionalism in the State Public Service”.
The move according to the statement, “reflects government’s commitment to upholding decency, restoring decorum, and projecting a culture of responsibility in service delivery”.
Heads of government offices have been directed to enforce the new dress code across the state.
