Dunamis Church Denies Ownership of Aircraft Linked to Delta Road Landing, Threatens Legal Action Over False Report

The Concerned Christian Youth Forum (CCYF) has dismissed reports alleging that a private aircraft bearing registration number N989BC, which reportedly landed on a road in the Ogwashi-Uku area of Delta State, belongs to Dunamis International Gospel Centre.

In a statement issued on Friday, the faith-based group described the claim as false and misleading, stressing that Dunamis International Gospel Centre has consistently maintained that it does not own a private aircraft.

According to the group, while the church has the capacity to acquire an aircraft for evangelism and outreach activities if necessary, it has never announced ownership of any plane.

A source within the church also refuted the allegation, insisting that the aircraft in question is not registered in the name of the church.

“The church has never announced ownership of any aircraft. It is a lie. The aircraft is not registered in the name of Dunamis,” the source said.

The source further explained that whenever special crusades or ministry engagements require air travel, supporters and members may provide resources or assistance, but such arrangements do not translate to church ownership of an aircraft.

Speaking on behalf of CCYF, the group’s convener, James Adama, described the report as a deliberate fabrication aimed at misleading the public and damaging the reputation of the church.

“We state clearly and unequivocally that the assertion is a fabrication and underscores the reckless misinformation being deliberately spread to mislead the public,” Adama said.

He warned that the dissemination of false information capable of harming the reputation of individuals, organisations, or institutions could attract legal consequences under Nigerian law.

Adama urged media organisations, bloggers, and social media users to verify information through official channels before publication, noting that the church reserves the right to pursue legal action against anyone found to have knowingly circulated false and malicious claims.

He called on the public to disregard the report, describing it as false, misleading, and intended to cause reputational harm.
