In a rare show of Mutual respect and Friendship,the Management of Benson Idahosa University,paid a courtesy visit on the Leadership of the Edo State House of Assembly to invite the House to its activities in the Forthcoming Convocation Ceremony .
Vice Chancellor and Leader of the Management team Prof John Okhuoya, said they were in the house on a two way mission.
Prof Okhuoya congratulated the Speaker and Members for the maturity of the 8th Edo Assembly, stressing that they have been able to generate positive publicity with great achievements recorded thus far.
Prof Okhuoya said they were in the house to extend the invitation for the Convocation Ceremony and plead for palliative on the Sapele Road leading to the Campus of the school where the main event is to be hosted.
He intimated the House that Senator Tunde Ogbeha a former Military Administrator of Edo State is the sole awardee for this year’s Convocation Ceremony.
Responding , Speaker,Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chief Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku while thanking the VC and team for the visit ,stressed that the members of the 8th Assembly are men and women of proven integrity, intellect and highly cerebral.
Rt Hon Chief Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku said the House would attend the Convocation Ceremony, emphasizing that the issue of the failed portion on the Sapele Road leading to the School campus would be discussed.
High point of the visit was the Presentation of invitation cards, gifts and prayers for the House of Assembly and the State Government.
