Benin City, Edo State : Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Musa Uduimo as Chairman of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The appointment was contained in a Government Special Announcement signed by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., dated August 31, 2026.
Uduimo will lead a 26-member board charged with overseeing the affairs of Muslim pilgrims from the state.
Other members of the board are Alhaji Abdul Aziz Igbinidu, Hajia Usenat Audu Esohe, Alhaji Musa Isiwele, Hajiya Mrs. Rabi Abiri, Ahmed Evbareke, Mallam Naasir Usman, Sheikh Sirajudeen Muhammed, and Mallam Omosa Shittu Musa.
Others are Sheikh Abdul-Ali Abdulqadir Momoh, Mallam Ismail Ibrahim, Alhaji Muhammed Otokiti, Alhaji Buhari Aideghese, Mallam Abdullahi Aminu, Hajia Zuliatu Bello Osagie, Adams Inusa Oshiokhamhele, Sanni Muhammad, Mulikat Iyoha Oare, Mallam Uthman Abu, and Mallam Hassan Mahadi.
Also appointed are Alhaji Prince Isah Momodu, Mallam Mukhtar Abdulkadir, Prince Afe Aliru Momoh, Abdul Rahman Momodu JP, and Arc. Mamud Oyarelemi.
Abdulkabir M. Eranga was appointed Secretary of the board.
According to the statement, the newly constituted board will be inaugurated by Governor Okpebholo on a date to be announced by the state government.
The appointment is part of the Edo State Government’s efforts to strengthen the administration and coordination of Muslim pilgrimage affairs in the state.
