Edo State University, Iyamho, will hold its 18th Inaugural Lecture Series on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, featuring Professor Usunomena Usunobun as the guest lecturer.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Victor O. Adetimirin, on behalf of the Council, Senate, staff, and students, has extended an invitation to members of the university community, stakeholders, and the general public to attend the academic event.
Professor Usunobun will deliver a lecture titled, “Back to Our Roots: The Panacea to Insults and Assaults,” where she is expected to explore the relevance of indigenous values and cultural heritage in addressing contemporary social challenges.
The inaugural lecture is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. and will take place at the Aliko Dangote Auditorium, Edo State University, Iyamho.
The university noted that the inaugural lecture series remains one of its flagship academic engagements, providing a platform for distinguished professors to share the outcomes of their research and contribute to intellectual discourse on issues of national and global importance.
