In a resounding display of confidence and unity, the Urhobo Nation has re-elected Olorogun Barr. Ese Gam Owe as President-General of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU).
Barr. Owe secured 432 votes, defeating his closest opponent, Chief Simeon Ohwofa, who polled 178 votes, in a peaceful and transparent election that reflected the collective will of the Urhobo people.
His victory is widely seen as a win for all, symbolizing his broad acceptance and the desire for continuity, stability, and progressive leadership within the Urhobo Nation.
Observers noted that the election, regardless of the outcome for each contestant, once again demonstrated the unwavering commitment of Urhobo people to remain one indivisible entity, bonded by a rich cultural heritage and driven by the shared responsibility of building a stronger future.
The re-elected President-General expressed appreciation to all Urhobo sons and daughters for the trust reposed in him, pledging to continue promoting unity, development, and a renewed sense of purpose across the nation.
Congratulations to all newly elected members of the UPU Executive Council, as they begin another chapter of dedicated service to the Urhobo Nation.
