The Federal Government has approved 150 as the minimum admission cut-off mark for all universities and nursing colleges in Nigeria.
The decision was announced on Tuesday by the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, during the 2026 Admission Policy Meeting organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board in Abuja.
According to the minister, the approved benchmark will apply to both public and private universities across the country as part of the admission guidelines for the 2026 academic session.
The policy meeting, attended by major education stakeholders, focused on admission processes and standards for tertiary institutions nationwide.
