PORT HARCOURT — Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has inaugurated the 14.5-kilometre Ndele–Agba/Ndele–Otari/Omaraka Road and a 240-metre bridge linking communities in Emohua and Abua-Odual Local Government Areas of the state.

Governor Fubara, speaking at the inauguration, described the project as more than an infrastructure development, stressing its importance to the movement, security and economic wellbeing of residents in the affected communities.

According to the governor, the newly inaugurated road and bridge will provide a vital link between communities, ease transportation and movement, strengthen security and create fresh opportunities for economic growth.

Fubara expressed appreciation to the people of the area for their cooperation, support and goodwill throughout the implementation of the project.

He urged residents to take ownership of the infrastructure, protect it from vandalism and ensure its preservation for future generations.

“Yes, this is your project; own it, protect it and preserve it for generations to come,” the governor said.

The inauguration marks another addition to the state’s road and bridge infrastructure, with the project expected to improve connectivity between communities across the two local government areas.
