The family of Hon. Solomon Ighrakpata and Dr. (Mrs.) Fidelia Dumebi Ighrakpata has expressed their deepest condolences to the Warri Catholic Diocese over the passing of His Lordship, Most Rev. John Okeoghene Afareha.

 

The couple, in a joint statement, mourned the loss of the Bishop Emeritus, whom they described as an extraordinary spiritual leader who inspired countless souls to Christ.

 

Hon. and Dr. Ighrakpata condoled with the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Warri, Bishop Anthony Ewherido, the Catholic community, and the entire Christendom over the transition to the great beyond of such an outstanding leader and soldier of Christ.

 

They prayed to God to grant his soul and souls of other departed peaceful and good rest.

 

“With a heavy heart, we extend our deepest condolences to the Warri Catholic Diocese on the passing of Bishop Emeritus, Most Rev. John Okeoghene Afareha.

 

“His Lordship’s life was a testament to faith, service, and devotion to God’s work. As a shepherd of the flock, he guided with wisdom, compassion, and love, leaving an indelible mark on the Diocese and beyond.

 

“As Catholics, we mourn the loss of a spiritual leader who inspired countless souls. We acknowledge his contributions to the community and the values he instilled in the faithful. May his legacy of faith and service continue to inspire us.

 

“May God grant him eternal rest and comfort his family, the clergy, and all who mourn his passing,” the Ighrakpatas stated.
