Dozens of people were injured and several homes damaged in northern Israel after a barrage of missiles was launched from Iran, according to local media reports.

Emergency services said the attack triggered air raid sirens across several northern communities, sending residents rushing into shelters as explosions were heard in parts of the region. Some of the missiles were intercepted by Israel’s air defence systems, but others reportedly struck residential areas, causing injuries and significant property damage.

Rescue teams and medical personnel were deployed to multiple impact sites to assist victims and assess the extent of the destruction. Several of the wounded were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, while emergency responders searched damaged buildings to ensure no one was trapped under debris.

According to reports cited by Reuters, residential buildings sustained damage from the missile impacts and falling debris, with shattered windows, damaged roofs and vehicles destroyed in affected neighbourhoods.

The latest strike comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, with both sides exchanging threats and military actions in recent months. Analysts say the continued missile exchanges raise concerns about a broader regional conflict in the Middle East.

Israeli authorities have urged residents in vulnerable areas to remain alert and follow safety instructions as the security situation continues to evolve.
