Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, founder of the Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, has announced that his ministry will commence Sunday worship services in Abuja, with a distinctive approach that excludes the collection of offerings.

According to a report by Church Times on Tuesday, the cleric made the announcement in an online message monitored by the publication. The video message, which was posted on Sunday, January 11, outlined the vision and guiding principles of the ministry as it expands its activities to the nation’s capital.

In the message, Oyedepo stressed that the core mandate of the Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries is discipleship, explaining that the focus is on teaching and equipping believers to genuinely follow the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, rather than emphasising financial contributions.

Addressing the financial structure of the ministry, Oyedepo stated that the decision not to collect offerings was not merely administrative but spiritual. He explained that God had given him clear and specific instructions that offerings should not be taken during the ministry’s services.

He added that the ministry’s operations would rely on divine provision as it pursues its mission of spiritual growth, discipleship, and Christian service.

The announcement has since generated conversations online, with many observers noting the uncommon stance on church financing as the ministry prepares to begin regular Sunday services in Abuja.
