Christ came to give rest, recovery, and restoration, proving that healing is fully in line with the purpose of the Sabbath. He addressed infirmities of the heart, character, spirit, and body. His touch brings a complete, instant miracle of transformation.

Christ’s ministry was holistic, extending beyond physical healing to bring true conversion and prepare people for eternity. The purpose of miracles was to lead witnesses and hearers to faith in Christ and eternal life. His ultimate purpose was salvation.
2. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐡
The religious leaders displayed condemnation and unjustifiable anger because their focus was on defending rituals rather than rejoicing over Christ’s saving acts.
𝐔𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬
They were filled with madness and indignation simply because Jesus healed. Their anger was unjustifiable because Christ, the Lord of the Sabbath, performed righteous acts. Anger against those who obey God exposes misplaced priorities. God must always be topmost in our lives.
𝐔𝐧𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭
Like Jonah, who was angry at divine compassion, their hearts were bitter when God showed mercy to others. This anger is selfish and destructive, as it forgets one’s own redemption. God’s mercy is a gift to all who repent.

Those who persist in seeking to accuse Christ, following the example of the accuser of the brethren, will face eternal punishment in the everlasting fire.

The harvest is vast and still requires willing labourers. Jesus continually sought new souls with passion and compassion.

Jesus was observant and moved with compassion when He saw the scattered multitudes. Believers must share this burden for souls and possess the same passion as Christ.

Healing was a consistent, not occasional, act in Christ’s holistic ministry. As Christ healed frequently, His followers should minister healing frequently.

Jesus freely gave His power and authority to His followers, showing no trace of envy or jealousy. Believers must recognise their specific ministry and grace, fulfilling it diligently and cheerfully without comparison or competition. Serving faithfully, healing consistently, and discipling fruitfully expand the kingdom of God.
