Daughter of former Delta State Governor, Orode Uduaghan, has dismissed reports circulating on social media alleging that her father has died.
In a statement shared on her Facebook page on Wednesday night, Orode described the reports as false and misleading, assuring the public that the former governor is alive and in good health.
“To the glory of God, our father is well and very much alive,” she wrote while expressing gratitude to friends, associates, and well-wishers who reached out to the family following the rumours.
“Thank you to everyone who reached out with calls, messages, and prayers. We sincerely appreciate the concern and love shown to our family,” she stated.
Orode also condemned those responsible for spreading the unverified reports, warning that misinformation can have serious consequences for individuals and their families.
“To those chosen to spread false and misleading information regarding His Excellency, seeking attention through misinformation is irresponsible and has real consequences for the individuals and families affected,” she said.
She further thanked those who contacted the family out of genuine concern, noting that their prayers and support were deeply appreciated.
“Once again, thank you to everyone who reached out in genuine concern. We do not take your love and prayers for granted. God bless you all,” she added.
The clarification comes amid widespread speculation online claiming that the former Delta State governor had passed away, reports which the family has now firmly denied.
