The Edo State Government has called on eligible youths across the state to take advantage of the ongoing Nigerian Army 91 Regular Recruits Intake (RRI), describing it as a valuable opportunity for employment, national service, and personal development.
This call comes ahead of the scheduled visit of a Nigerian Army sensitization team to the state from April 8 to April 14, 2026. The team is expected to engage prospective applicants, provide guidance, and support them through the recruitment process.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Monday Okpebholo, Dr. Patrick Akhere Ebojele, the government encouraged qualified young men and women from Edo North, Edo Central, and Edo South to participate actively in the exercise.
Governor Monday Okpebholo, according to the statement, urged Edo youths to come out in large numbers to enhance the state’s representation and meet its national quota in the recruitment exercise. He noted that joining the Nigerian Army offers a pathway to building disciplined, purposeful, and rewarding careers.
The government also appealed to parents, guardians, traditional rulers, community leaders, religious institutions, and youth organisations to mobilise and encourage eligible candidates within their communities to take part in the exercise.
Prospective applicants are advised to visit the official Nigerian Army recruitment portal for detailed information on eligibility criteria, requirements, and application procedures. Candidates are also urged to ensure all necessary documents are complete before presenting themselves at designated sensitization centres during the exercise.
The Edo State Government reaffirmed its commitment to youth development and called for collective support to ensure the success of the recruitment drive.
