ASABA — Delta State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Charles Aniagwu, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his 63rd birth anniversary, describing him as a statesman whose leadership has brought remarkable development, unity, and progress to Delta State.

In a goodwill message marking the governor’s birthday on June 19, 2026, Aniagwu said Deltans had every reason to celebrate a leader whose public service career has been defined by humility, resilience, inclusiveness, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.

According to him, Governor Oborevwori’s rise from grassroots politics to the highest office in the state reflects perseverance, dedication, and a deep understanding of the aspirations of ordinary citizens.

He noted that the governor, who assumed office on May 29, 2023, has demonstrated that leadership goes beyond occupying public office, stressing that his administration has continued to inspire confidence, build consensus, and deliver tangible results across the state.

Aniagwu said Oborevwori’s governance philosophy, encapsulated in the MORE Agenda—Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security—has translated into impactful policies and programmes that have benefited communities across Delta State.

He highlighted the administration’s achievements in infrastructure development, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, schools, healthcare facilities, water projects, and other public institutions, noting that development efforts have extended beyond urban centres to rural and riverine communities.

The commissioner further commended the governor’s investment in human capital development through educational support initiatives, healthcare interventions, youth empowerment programmes, social welfare schemes, and economic support for small businesses and vulnerable groups.

Aniagwu also praised Oborevwori’s commitment to peace and security, stating that sustained collaboration with security agencies, community leaders, and other stakeholders has helped maintain stability and harmony across the state.

He said the governor’s prudent management of public resources, fiscal discipline, and strategic planning have enabled Delta State to execute major developmental projects while maintaining financial stability.

According to him, one of Oborevwori’s greatest strengths is his accessibility and close connection with the people, qualities that have earned him admiration across different segments of society.

“As he celebrates his 63rd birth anniversary, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s life offers valuable lessons in leadership, perseverance, and public service. His journey reminds us that true leadership is measured not by titles held but by lives touched, communities transformed, and opportunities created for future generations,” Aniagwu stated.

He added that Deltans were celebrating not only the birthday of a governor but also the enduring legacy of a leader whose vision, humility, and commitment to service continue to shape the progress of Delta State.

Aniagwu, on behalf of the management and staff of the Ministry of Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, wished the governor good health, wisdom, strength, and greater accomplishments in the service of Delta State and Nigeria.
