Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Chief Dan Osi Orbih, Chairman of the Governing Council of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, describing him as a bridge-builder and a voice of reason.
The governor, in a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Patrick Akhere Ebojele, extended his sympathies to the Orbih family, the university community and the people of Edo State over the loss.
Governor Okpebholo described the death of the AAU Governing Council Chairman as a significant loss, noting that Chief Orbih made valuable contributions to institutional leadership and the advancement of educational excellence in the state.
According to the governor, Orbih was an astute political leader who brought his wealth of experience and commitment to bear during his tenure as chairman of the university’s governing council.
He said the late Orbih demonstrated unwavering dedication to advancing the developmental agenda of Ambrose Alli University and played an important role in strengthening the relationship between the Edo State Government and the institution.
“Chief Dan Osi Orbih was a bridge-builder and a voice of reason whose contributions to the development of our state and Ambrose Alli University will not be forgotten,” the governor said.
Governor Okpebholo noted that Orbih’s commitment to service extended beyond politics, adding that his leadership at AAU would remain a significant part of his legacy.
He prayed that Almighty God would grant the Orbih family, friends, colleagues and associates the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
The governor also prayed that the late Chief Orbih’s legacy of service and dedication would continue to inspire generations of students, educators and leaders across Edo State.
