The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Majesty, retired Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo, CFR, Orhue I, on attaining 20 years on the throne of his forefathers.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, Rt. Hon. Guwor described the monarch, who is the Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, as a father to all, a custodian of culture, and a pillar of peace and unity in Delta State and beyond.
The Speaker noted that the Orodje’s two decades on the revered throne of Okpe Kingdom have been marked by wisdom, dignity, and purposeful leadership.
Guwor pointed out that as the Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, the celebrant has provided exemplary guidance, bridging tradition with modern governance for the good of the people.
He further said the Orodje’s reign has brought tremendous development, harmony, and pride to Okpe Kingdom, and has strengthened the role of traditional institutions in promoting peace across the state.
Rt. Hon. Guwor who is the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, celebrated the erstwhile ECOMOG Commander on the milestone and prayed to God to grant him good health, long life, and greater wisdom as he continues to reign over the ancient kingdom.
The Speaker, on behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, joined the Okpe people, Deltans, and well-wishers in celebrating the monarch’s remarkable service to humanity.
The statement reads: “On behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, I heartily congratulate His Royal Majesty, Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo, CFR, (Rtd), ORHUE I, Orodje of Okpe, and Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, on his 20th Coronation Anniversary.
“Your Majesty, two decades on the throne is a testament to God’s grace and your dedication to the service of your people. Your reign has been one of peace, cultural preservation, and unity.
“As Chairman of the Traditional Rulers Council, you have been a stabilizing force in Delta State.
“May your throne be established forever, and may your reign continue to bring prosperity to Okpe Kingdom and Delta State, to the glory of God”.
