Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, says he joined fellow members of the Progressive Governors Forum in Lagos for a strategic meeting focused on improving security, strengthening the economy, and enhancing the welfare of citizens.
Governor Okpebholo said the governors collectively reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to bolster national security. He noted that the Forum committed to deeper collaboration to ensure safer communities across the country.
The meeting also reviewed the economic challenges currently affecting Nigerians. The governors agreed to scale up efforts toward boosting food production, supporting small businesses, expanding job opportunities, and providing targeted relief to vulnerable households struggling with rising living costs.
Governor Okpebholo emphasized that the Forum remains firmly committed to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that their priority is to build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Nigeria for all citizens.
