The Delta State Government has called on residents to keep the emergency contact numbers of the Delta State Police Command readily available to facilitate swift security intervention during emergencies.

The advisory comes amid growing concerns over security challenges in parts of the state and the need for enhanced collaboration between citizens and law enforcement agencies in tackling crime.

In a public announcement, the government urged residents to save and retain the police control room emergency numbers on their mobile phones and use them whenever they witness or experience incidents requiring immediate police attention.

According to the government, prompt reporting of criminal activities, suspicious movements and other security threats remains critical to ensuring timely response by security agencies and safeguarding lives and property.

The state government emphasized that effective policing requires active public participation, noting that access to emergency contact channels can significantly improve response time during cases of robbery, kidnapping, violence, accidents and other emergencies.

Residents were encouraged to remain vigilant, provide useful information to security agencies and make responsible use of the emergency lines to support ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security across the state.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening security through collaboration with law enforcement agencies and community stakeholders, while urging citizens not to hesitate to seek police assistance whenever the need arises.

It advised members of the public to save the Delta State Police Command Control Room emergency numbers and keep them within easy reach for immediate use during security emergencies.
