Senator Ede Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District in the Senate, has congratulated a group of young Urhobo graduates on their successful induction as medical doctors at the University of Abuja, describing their achievement as a proud moment for the Urhobo nation and Delta Central.

The induction ceremony, held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, marked the official entry of the graduates into the medical profession after years of rigorous academic and clinical training.

In a congratulatory message delivered on his behalf by Mrs. Oghor Okolo, Senator Dafinone said the induction of the young doctors was a testament to hard work, resilience, and the immense potential of the district’s youth when given the right support and opportunities.

He noted that the newly inducted doctors were among participants at his Meet-and-Greet engagements held in November 2024 and 2025, adding that their success reflects the impact of sustained encouragement and mentorship.

The Senator specifically congratulated Dr. John Oloche, Dr. Jerome Ekoh, Dr. John Agulefo, and Dr. Thompson Onojuvwevwo, commending their dedication, perseverance, and commitment throughout their demanding medical education. He expressed confidence that they would make meaningful contributions to healthcare delivery and positively impact lives wherever they serve.

Senator Dafinone also extended warm congratulations to Dr. Ejiro Mitaire-Idonor, who was inducted in November 2025, urging the young medical professional to uphold the highest standards of ethics, compassion, and excellence in medical practice.

The lawmaker further applauded the parents, families, guardians, mentors, and loved ones of the newly inducted doctors for their unwavering support, sacrifices, and encouragement throughout their academic journey. According to him, their collective commitment played a significant role in the success of the new medical practitioners.

Reaffirming his commitment to promoting excellence among the youth of Delta Central, Senator Dafinone stressed that education and professional development remain vital pillars of national development. He encouraged the newly inducted doctors to serve as worthy ambassadors of the Urhobo nation and Nigeria by demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and compassion in the discharge of their duties.

He added that celebrating the achievements of young professionals remains an important part of inspiring future generations to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to society.
