Author and relationship commentator Fiona Wageci has once again stirred conversation online after sharing an emotional reflection on love, loss, and regret.
In a post published on her Facebook page, Wageci wrote about what she described as one of the deepest pains a man can experience — losing a woman he genuinely loved. According to her, while men may endure poverty, setbacks, and life’s disappointments, the regret of losing a meaningful relationship can linger far longer.
“A man can survive poverty, setbacks, and disappointment,” she wrote, “but the regret of losing a woman he genuinely loved is one of the deepest pains a man can carry.”
Wageci suggested that the loss goes beyond missing the woman herself. Instead, she said, it is often the future he envisioned with her — the family he imagined, the shared conversations, and the sense of peace he believed she would bring, that becomes hardest to let go of.
In her view, regret does not fade easily. She noted that unresolved feelings can follow a man into new relationships, shaping how he connects with others. Even when he attempts to move forward, she argued, comparisons and memories may linger.
“Even when he meets another woman, he compares,” Wageci stated. “Even when he tries to move forward, his heart remains in the past.”
She concluded by emphasizing the importance of emotional growth and intentionality in relationships. Wageci revealed that she has written a 45-page book aimed at helping men better understand how to build lasting love and avoid what she described as preventable heartbreak.
Her post has since generated engagement from followers, many of whom shared their own reflections on love, missed opportunities, and the lessons learned from past relationships.
