The United States military has confirmed that three American service members were killed and five others seriously wounded during its ongoing operation against Iran.
In a statement posted Sunday on X (formerly Twitter), the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the casualties linked to what it described as “Operation Epic Fury.”
“Three US service members have been killed in action and five are seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury,” the statement read.
The announcement marks the first official confirmation of U.S. fatalities since the launch of the operation targeting Iranian sites. No additional details were immediately provided about the circumstances of the deaths or the location of the incident.
The development comes amid escalating tensions following joint U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran and subsequent retaliatory actions across the region.
