President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Tuesday, March 17, for an official State Visit to the United Kingdom alongside the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
According to official reports, the Nigerian leader and his wife will be hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla during the visit.
The British monarch is expected to receive President Tinubu and the First Lady at Windsor Castle from Wednesday, March 18, to Thursday, March 19.
The visit is considered historic, as it marks the first State Visit to the United Kingdom by a Nigerian leader in 37 years. It will also make President Tinubu the first Nigerian president to be hosted by a British monarch at Windsor Castle.
The engagement is expected to strengthen diplomatic relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, while also providing an opportunity for discussions on areas of mutual interest between both countries.
