Scores of Nigerians on Wednesday staged a protest in Abuja under the banner of the #TinubuMustGo movement, expressing dissatisfaction with the administration of President Bola Tinubu and the country’s worsening economic conditions.
The protesters, who gathered in parts of the Federal Capital Territory, carried placards with various inscriptions calling for improved governance, economic relief, and policies to address the rising cost of living.
The demonstration comes amid growing public concerns over inflation, food prices, fuel costs, and the general economic hardship facing many Nigerians.
The protesters urged the Federal Government to take urgent steps to improve citizens’ welfare and implement measures that would ease the burden on households and businesses.
Security personnel were deployed to monitor the protest and maintain law and order as the demonstration progressed.
The protest is one of several public demonstrations highlighting increasing frustration among Nigerians over the country’s economic challenges and demands for improved governance.
