The sermon is divided into three parts

Esther did not know what to do when faced with the decree to destroy her people, so she called for a three-day fast. This act of waiting on the Lord brought her wisdom, courage, and a breakthrough. The message encourages believers to set aside food and wait on the Lord, assuring them that every prayer will be answered and every mountain moved. The Lord hears the tears and cries of His people, and their suffering will not be in vain. The story of King Hezekiah, whose life was extended by 15 years after he prayed and wept, is used as an example of God’s response to those who wait on Him.
This section warns against those who conspire against God’s people, using the example of Haman. Haman, filled with indignation against Mordecai, received wrong counsel from his wife and friends to build a gallows for Mordecai. However, the king’s sleeplessness led to the discovery of Mordecai’s good deed, and Haman was forced to honour his enemy. Haman was ultimately hanged on the very gallows he had prepared for Mordecai. The sermon asserts that the Lord will overrule the plans of the wicked, and they will become victims of their own evil plots. Unrepentant sinners who die in their conspiracy against God’s people will face eternal torment without liberation.
After Haman’s death, the edict to destroy the Jews was still in place, but God was able to change the seemingly unchangeable. Mordecai was exalted to a position of power, given Haman’s house, and received the king’s signet ring. He was allowed to rewrite the decree, leading to great joy, gladness, and honour for the Jews throughout the kingdom. The sermon concludes that believers who wait on the Lord will have their strength renewed, “mount up with wings as eagles,” and run without being weary. Their tears and weeping will be replaced by joy, and their blessings will come.
