Armed police officers have arrested former presidential candidate and human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, at the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Sowore was reportedly whisked away shortly after attending court proceedings for the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
The circumstances surrounding his arrest remain unclear as of the time of filing this report, but eyewitnesses said security operatives moved swiftly to take him into custody moments after he exited the courtroom.
Details of the incident are still emerging.
