The Vice Chancellor of Edo State University, Iyamho, Prof. Victor Olawale Adetimirin, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Edo State University Iyamho Medical Students’ Association (ESUIMSA) in recognition of his transformational leadership and the remarkable progress recorded across the institution within a short period.

Presenting the award, the ESUIMSA President, Mr. Gbonoba Abel, flanked by members of the Executive Council — Imoakhuede O. Kelvin (General Secretary), Falana Oluwasegun (Treasurer), and Obiorhoma Anne Ogheneruro (Assistant General Secretary) — commended the Vice Chancellor for his visionary leadership. They reaffirmed the association’s unwavering support and pledged to continue showcasing the positive strides of his administration to the broader student community and the public, even beyond their time in the university.

In his response, Prof. Adetimirin expressed deep gratitude for the honour, noting that despite being less than four months in office, the university has already recorded significant improvements in several critical areas. He emphasized his commitment to further advancing the institution’s infrastructure, academic excellence, and learning environment in line with the mission and vision of its founding fathers.

According to the Public Relations Officer, Kelly Quincy Amaechi, the Vice Chancellor also urged the students to remain worthy ambassadors of Edo State University Iyamho and to uphold its values wherever their paths may lead.
