The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that results of candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16, will be released on Friday, April 17.

The board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating that candidates should expect their results before midnight. He added that an official announcement would be made once the results are fully available.

Benjamin said, “This is to inform all candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on Thursday, April 16, that their results will be released today before midnight. An official announcement will be made to the public and posted on this page as soon as the results are available.”

The 2026 UTME, which commenced earlier this week, is scheduled to run until April 22. The examination is being conducted in four daily sessions, starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m., a structure designed to accommodate the large number of candidates and ease congestion at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.

Approximately 2.2 million candidates are participating in this year’s exercise across 966 accredited centres. Each centre is required to meet key operational standards, including reliable computer systems, stable internet connectivity, consistent power supply, and well-trained personnel to ensure a smooth examination process.
