Joyce Meyer Ministries has expressed solidarity with victims of the devastating floods in Nepal and China, as communities affected by the disaster continue to grapple with loss, displacement and destruction.
In a statement shared by the ministry, the organisation said the catastrophic flooding had swept away homes, damaged roads and critical infrastructure, and claimed hundreds of lives.
According to the ministry, several families have been displaced, while others are mourning loved ones or anxiously waiting for information about relatives who remain missing.
Amid the devastation, the ministry said its humanitarian arm, Hand of Hope, is mobilising hundreds of volunteers through its network of churches in Nepal to provide assistance to affected families and communities.
Hand of Hope is also partnering with Mercy Chefs, a humanitarian organisation known for providing meals in disaster zones, to serve hot and nourishing food to people affected by the floods.
“When families are facing unimaginable loss, we want them to know they are not forgotten and they are not alone,” the ministry said.
The organisation also called on supporters and the wider public to pray for the people of Nepal and China, particularly families who have lost loved ones, those still waiting for missing relatives and communities struggling to recover from the disaster.
The humanitarian response comes as affected communities face the difficult task of rebuilding homes, restoring essential infrastructure and recovering from the devastating impact of the floods.
