A church in Eruku, Kwara State, has continued its worship service despite a violent attack that left the community in shock and resulted in the abduction of 38 members of the congregation.

Church leaders confirmed the number of kidnapped worshippers, revealing that the attackers stormed the area during a service, whisking away dozens of members.

According to the church, the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of ₦20 million per victim, heightening tension and fear within the community.

Despite the trauma, the church gathered again for worship, expressing faith and resilience in the face of the devastating incident. Members prayed for the safe return of the abducted worshippers and called on security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue them.
