Scripture Focus: Colossians 3:15
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” — Colossians 3:15
We live in a world increasingly marked by confusion, instability, and wickedness—just as the Scriptures foretold. As written:
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” — 2 Timothy 3:13
As time progresses and the coming of the Lord draws nearer, knowledge continues to increase across all fields of human endeavor. Yet, this advancement does not translate into true peace or righteousness for the believer.
“Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” — Daniel 12:4
“For in much wisdom is much grief…” — Ecclesiastes 1:18
Amidst this reality, what should be the posture of every believer?
TWO ESSENTIAL EXHORTATIONS
1. Let the Peace of God Rule in Your Heart
True peace is not found in material possessions, emotional stability, or physical security. It is found only in Christ—the Prince of Peace.
“In Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7
Reflection:
Are you truly experiencing this divine peace, or has fear taken hold of your heart because of current events and global uncertainty?
2. Let the Word of Christ Dwell in You Richly
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…” — Colossians 3:16
In times of economic hardship, global unrest, and uncertainty, the Word of God must remain your anchor and guide.
Reflection:
How deeply is God’s Word rooted in your life in this season.?
A CALL TO THANKFULNESS
In all circumstances, cultivate a heart of gratitude—to God and to one another in your daily interactions: at home, at work, in your community.
May the Lord grant us the grace to live with continual thanksgiving as we walk with Him, in the precious name of Yeshua Hamashiach, our soon-coming King. Amen.
