Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed there are indications that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, may no longer be alive.
Speaking following coordinated military action over the weekend, Netanyahu said “many signs” suggest uncertainty surrounding Khamenei’s status, though he did not provide specific evidence to support the claim.
On Saturday, the United States and Israel launched missile strikes targeting sites inside Iran. Israeli officials described the operation as “pre-emptive,” aimed at countering what they called imminent threats.
Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, said the strikes were part of broader efforts to “remove threats against the State of Israel.”
There has been no immediate confirmation from Iranian authorities regarding Khamenei’s condition.
