The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), National President, Comrade Alhassan Abdullahi Yahya led a delegation of leaders of the Union to courtesy visit on Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.
Issues of critical national interests, Journalists’ Rights, Protection and Welfare as well as Nigerian Media Sector in general were some of the key issues discussed.
In his remark, Vice President Kashim Shettima assured the NUJ President and his delegation that he shall do all he can within his powers to adequately address issues discussed, saying that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains ally of the media, and committed to the welfare, protection and advancing journalism profession in Nigeria.
