Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, has approved the constitution of Governing Councils for three state-owned universities.
The affected institutions are the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor; Dennis Osadebay University (DOU), Asaba; and Southern Delta University.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the Delta State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, the appointments are as follows:
University of Delta, Agbor
– Prof. Victor Peretomode — Pro-Chancellor/Chairman
– Rear Admiral Peter I. Eluma — Member
– Prof. Mrs. Ebele Egwunyega — Member
– Dr. Roland Oritsejafor — Member
– Mrs. Joy Enwa — Member
– Prof. Ben Oghojafor — Member
– Prof. Patrick Oromareghake — Member
Dennis Osadebay University
– Prof. Patrick Muoboghare — Pro-Chancellor/Chairman
– Dr. Christopher Onyemenam — Member
– Chief Elmina V. Namah — Member
– Prof. Jacob Oboreh — Member
– Dr. Mrs. Josephine Konyeme — Member

The statement said the inauguration of the newly constituted Governing Councils will be announced in due course.
The appointments are expected to provide leadership and strategic oversight for the three institutions as they continue to advance their academic and administrative mandates.
