The October edition of the House of Assembly Prayer Fellowship, with the theme, “Keep Hope Alive,” was held at the Hallowed Chambers of the Assembly.
Delivering the sermon, Pastor Fadeke Efosa-Ekhator drew her text from Job 14:7–9 and 14, using the story of Job to emphasize the importance of sustaining hope. She reminded the congregation that despite his many challenges, Job continually affirmed that his Redeemer lives — an act of keeping hope alive.
Pastor Efosa-Ekhator highlighted reasons why believers must keep hope alive: God is Almighty and able to turn situations around in an instant, and He has a divine purpose for every individual as well as for the nation, Nigeria. She encouraged all present to surrender their lives to God and place unwavering trust in His ability to bring all good things to fulfillment.
Special prayers were offered for Nigeria at 65, Edo State, the Edo State House of Assembly, and its leadership by Rev. Dr. Igbinijesu.
In his vote of thanks, the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Hon. ODK Iruobe (KSC), appreciated all attendees, noting that the Prayer Fellowship, under the leadership of Pastor Frank Okonofua, continues to grow stronger through the dedication of the ministers of God. He prayed for God’s continuous blessings on the ministers and all participants of the monthly fellowship.
