The Edo State Government has announced the redeployment of the Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), Mr. Suleiman Aledeh, to the Edo State Orientation Agency, where he will serve as the pioneer Director-General with immediate effect.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., on behalf of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
According to the statement, Mr. Festus Alenkhe has been appointed Acting Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director.
The government said the governor’s decision is part of ongoing administrative adjustments aimed at optimising resource management and strengthening institutional capacity across key sectors of the state’s administration.
The statement noted that Aledeh’s redeployment reflects the government’s confidence in his professional expertise and ability to advance the mandate of the Edo State Orientation Agency, which plays a critical role in civic engagement, values promotion, and public communication across the state.
During his tenure at EBS, Aledeh was credited with demonstrating dedication to public service broadcasting and institutional development. The state government commended his contributions to the broadcasting sector and wished him success in his new assignment.
On Alenkhe’s appointment, the government stated that the move underscores Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to ensuring seamless operations at the Edo Broadcasting Service. As Acting Managing Director, Alenkhe is expected to sustain the station’s standards of service delivery and professional broadcasting.
The appointments take immediate effect.
