The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, William F. Kumuyi, has urged Nigerian political leaders to prioritize the welfare of citizens and remain accountable to those who elected them.

Kumuyi gave the charge during a courtesy visit to the palace of Kevin Ngozi Anugwo, the Eze Ekpeye-Logbo III of Ahoada in Rivers State, as part of activities marking the ongoing Global Crusade with Kumuyi.

According to the cleric, political office holders should not see themselves as being above the people but should remember that citizens expect them to fulfill the promises and responsibilities for which they were elected.

He explained that his visit to Ahoada was in continuation of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, a three-day revival programme aimed at reminding people around the world that Jesus Christ is able to save, heal and deliver those facing different challenges.

“Let it be known that God is sufficient to meet the needs of everyone who comes to Him through faith in Jesus,” Kumuyi declared.

He also offered prayers for the monarch, asking God to use him to render effective service both to his people and to the kingdom of God.

In his response, the traditional ruler, Ambassador Kevin Ngozi Anugwo, said Kumuyi’s previous visit to the kingdom in 2024 had a positive impact on the community, strengthening political, cultural and communal relationships. He expressed joy that the Ekpeye Kingdom was hosting the cleric again and said residents were expecting greater divine blessings from the crusade.

Among dignitaries present were the State Overseer of Rivers Central Administration and Coordinator of the Deeper Life Church in the South-South zone, Pious Idume, as well as the host State Overseer for Rivers West Administration, Nkeruwem Ukoh.

Also in attendance were more than a dozen state and regional overseers of the church, alongside over 15 traditional rulers, clan heads and chiefs from the Ekpeye area.

The three-day crusade began on Friday and is expected to conclude on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
