The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the first batch of results for the 2026 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates.
In a statement issued on Friday, the examination body disclosed that a total of 10,480 candidates sat for the examination nationwide between January 28 and February 14, 2026.
According to WAEC, 3,429 candidates obtained credits in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics—key requirements for higher education admission in Nigeria.
The council noted that the release marks the conclusion of the first phase of the computer-based examination for private candidates this year.
