Today witnessed the tee-off of the CMD Golf Tournament, hosted by the Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. Idia Nibokun Ize-Iyamu.

The tournament, tagged β€œπ—–π— π—— π—šπ—Όπ—Ήπ—³ π—žπ—Άπ˜π˜π˜†,” held at the UBTH Golf Course, Benin City, featured notable personalities and golfers, including Mrs. Ehis Igbinadolor (Nigeria’s best female golfer), Dr. (Mrs.) Monica Obaedo (former female captain, UBTH Golf Club), Major General Felix Omoigui (Rtd.), Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, Ms. Tinyan Otuomagie (CEO, New Edo Line), and several others.

It was all excitement as Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu took the ceremonial first tee shot to officially open the tournament. Registered golfers then took to the course to begin the day’s play.

The event also featured the commissioning of a cottage house built on the UBTH Golf Course and donated by Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen to serve as a rest and refreshment spot for golfers. The facility was commissioned by Prof. Ize-Iyamu.

A major highlight of the day was the registration of the Special Guest of Honour, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, into the UBTH Golf Club, alongside other new members.
