Reno Omokri: Peace and Good Upbringing Matter More Than Academic Qualifications in Marriage

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has argued that peace, good upbringing, and family values should take precedence over academic qualifications when choosing a life partner.

In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Omokri said an “illiterate woman who gives you peace” is preferable to “an accomplished PhD lady who tears your life to pieces.”

According to him, members of the aristocracy and the world’s wealthiest families often prioritize good breeding, upbringing, and family background over educational achievements when selecting spouses.

To support his position, Omokri referenced several members of the British royal family, noting that Queen Elizabeth II was privately educated and did not attend high school or university. He also stated that Princess Diana did not attend university and that Queen Camilla is not a university graduate.

While acknowledging that education remains important, Omokri maintained that it should not outweigh qualities that promote harmony in marriage.

“Education is important. But without peace, what is important can leave you impotent,” he said.

He further argued that as long as a woman brings peace into a relationship and comes from a family that instilled good values and upbringing, her lack of formal education is less significant than a lack of decorum.

Omokri’s comments have generated conversations on social media, with users expressing differing opinions on the balance between education, character, and compatibility in choosing a life partner.
